We've had great visitors - most recently my sister and husband, Anne and Tim along with the Gills: Tom, Michelle, Grace and Donovan. With A&T we spent much of the time playing cards, but also went to the Greensboro Grasshoppers and for a hike in the environmental center 5 minutes away. With the Gills, Jason played parade with the kids in the play room and we visited the Greensboro natural science center.

2009 - Easter Ride home from Okracoke
We took our time going home...driving North through several of the islands, which meant only a 1 hour ferry, and still about a 7.5 hour trip. The outerbanks is known for it's blackbeard history, so we stopped at Teach's hole for some Pirate history. We visited three lighthouses, Okracoke, Cape Hatteras and Bodie.
2009 - Easter Camping at Okracoke Island-NC
Okracoke Island - The Outerbanks of NC...this was quite a wonderful trip - with a 3.5 hour ferry included, it took us about 7-8 hours to arrive, but it was worth it. Our campsite was just a dune away from a secluded beach on the ocean. The season was still cool enough to not fry from the unshaded site. The first night was a huge thunderstorm, so Charlie paced our 2 person tent all night. we can't wait to go back to Okracoke...the town also had a wonderful charm.
